AABPS Prospective Student Scholarship.

AABPS Prospective Student Scholarship

The American Association of Black Physician Scientist is committed to support for students who are under-represented in physician-scientists training. The Prospective Student Scholarship is an effort to support students beginning their physician-scientist training. This scholarship aims to provide financial support for students with primary and/or secondary application fees to MD-PhD programs. MD-PhD applications can be a costly and financial burden for many students and limit opportunities to apply to programs, therefore creating a potential barrier for acceptance success for students. This scholarship hopes to alleviate this barrier for AABPS members applying to MD-PhD programs.

Application Deadline July 9th by 5pm EST. Application is available in Member Area of website after membership application.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be an AABPS member (free for prospective students)

  • Applicants must be submitting AMCAS application 2023-2024 cycle applying specifically to MD-PhD programs (AMCAS number)

If granted scholarship, students must provide proof of AMCAS or secondary applications submissions to MD-PhD programs.
